Indigo Web was created for the Dogwood Arts Regional Arts Exhibition 2021 and displayed at the Emporium Center in Knoxville, TN. 

 

The primary material for this installation is crowd sourced denim jeans, underscoring my practice of utilize consumable materials.

For Indigo Web I reused the denim collected to make Indigo Wave, and even had to cut, tie, and add a pair of jeans I had packed to wear!

​

Inspired by the countless morning spider webs I encounter in my Tennessee yard I created the web form at home. Adding each 12' vertical length on site. Each length began as a simple rosette. The rosette's inspired Big Muff and a new series I am currently working on.
